Rosemarie Urbanski, M.F.S, operates a complete forensic laboratory for document examination in Naples specializing in forensic examination and signature validation. The Forensic Science laboratory is equipped with advanced digital computerized imaging equipment to include the Foster & Freeman Video Spectral Comparator which can differentiate ink. Questioned document examination techniques are utilized to expose forgeries and alterations to allow the document examiner to display differences in infra-red absorption, infra-red luminescence, visible luminescence, watermarks and paper opacity within the questioned document.
Questioned documents can be examined to determine the relative age of ink and to read indentations that may reveal writings that are invisible to the unaided eye. Rosemarie is also certified in the analysis and comparison of latent fingerprints and can retrieve fingerprints from paper utilizing high intensity light, chemical and powder techniques. Our Forensic Science laboratory can process questioned documents for DNA analysis.
Rosemarie Urbanski has been a forensic questioned document examiner and expert witness for over thirty years. In 1988, she interned for three years under the tutorship of Arthur Walters, a world renown forensic document examiner and handwriting expert. Mr. Walters retired from the US Army Criminal Investigation Division, where he was the commander of the Forensic Document Laboratory. He also retired as the section head of the Arizona Dept of Public Safety, Questioned Document Section. Rosemarie continued working cases with Mr. Walters until his death in 1997.
